The Brook Restaurant and Bar is situated in the heart of the Brookside District in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The building the eatery is housed in was once used as a movie theater. Since it's transformation, The Brook has become a staple of the area though the terrific dining experience guests receive while there. The atmosphere inside is always exciting yet laid-back. There are four different eating areas with a bar, enclosed patio seating, outdoor seating, and booths for larger parties and families. Their menu is simple but really flavorful. Every meal I have had there has left me stuffed and the service is always great.
The Brook is known for it’s macaroni and cheese, burgers, and chicken fried steak. The queso available as an appetizer is the best thing in the restaurant as far as I’m concerned. It has a combination of flavors that I can’t quite put my finger on. The chips served with the queso are also interesting as they are sprinkled with a mix of seasoning to add a unique flavor. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is friendly and warm. The bar is exciting, especially when they are promoting a sporting event. Their beer selection is also pretty impressive. Even though the bar is the center fixture of the restaurant, it is still very family-friendly. I’ve never taken anyone under the age of sixteen but I always see a lot of families dining there. The last things I’ll praise them for are their prices. Each dish comes out consistently delicious and the portion sizes are very generous. The prices don’t seem to reflect the amount of food you get and neither do they reflect the quality of the meals. I recommend The Brook to anyone who finds themselves in the Tulsa area because it’s the total package. If you find yourself in need of lunch or dinner while visiting Brookside, then The Brook on is the place to be.
